Understanding Tiles and Earthquake Spell Impact

We already talked about Lightning+Earthquake Combo (LEC) and Lightning+Lightning Combo (LLC) in article Lightning Earthquake Combo. Last part of this article specifically touch on spells manipulation in order to use lesser amount of spells to achieve the same goals. I will use our current war versus Iran clan to demonstrate this. What happen is Ikanduri attack #7 which happen to have AD7. In theory, AD7 can only be destroyed by LEC if Ikanduri have at least L5 and EQ3. If he got EQ3 from CC, he still need another EQ3 to destroy another AD7. Since he only got EQ1 and EQ2 (CC), it is not impossible to destroy both AD7. By standard technique, Ikanduri's L5 cant destroy these AD7 using LEC.

However, since #7 have very close AD7 location, manipulation technique can be used that enable 2EQ1 together with 4L5 to destroy both AD7. In order to learn this technique, you should understand tiles and EQ impact. Basically, tiles is size. We measure our village using tiles. Our village size is 44x44 tiles square or 44 tiles width x 44 tiles length. Each building have different size that measured in tiles. For example, Town Hall is 4x4. Most buildings like AD is 3x3.

Like many spells, EQ effecting certain radius that also measured by tiles. EQ will effecting area with 4 tiles radius. So, we basically can see this will impact on 8 tiles area as shown in Diagram 3.

Normally in LEC where you targeting only 1 AD, the impact of EQ is shown in Diagram 4. Since the distance between AD7 is 4 tiles, you can manipulate EQ so the impact will cover and destroy both AD. In this way, you can bring less EQ or you can destroy high level AD with low level Lightning. It is impossible for 2L5+1EQ1 to destroy 1AD7. But if 2EQ1 are used together, damage done will  be a lot higher. So, 2L5 on first AD7, 2L5 on second AD7, and 2EQ1 on both AD7 will destroy both AD7. As shown in Diagram 5, placing both EQ in between both AD will impact both AD. So, damage done is almost double and enough to destroy AD7.

This is very advance technique that manipulate understanding of tiles and EQ impact which can be used when enemy didnt place his/her AD well. With this understanding, you should also avoiding placing your AD close together. Plus, understanding this also important for ground attacker to determine which walls will break when using 4EQ. Since EQ impact on 8 tiles diameter, it is possible to break 3 layers of walls!

The Future of CS

On 30/03/2016, CS will be 1 year old. 1 year old is nothing if we not discussing it in term of progress, development or anything that related to what we achieve for that amount of time. I say we achieved a lot. First of all, this clan still survived. This is means something right? Second, we reached level 9, a great achievement. I never seen level 11 clan so far. So, we are 1 step more to be par with some greatest clan of the entire Clash of Clans community. Third, in the course of building this clan, we meet people, some become our friends in real life, some just a pain in the ass. This means COC a place of social development and a place we spend our time. Whether other people consider this as a waste of time or our wife think we spend too much time with this game compare to them are another matters. Point here, this game take some chunk of our live that somehow make us happy.

For CS's next step, I plan to take a big leap in changing how clan doing business. This is my always intention from the past few months. It never works before but I believe it will works now. The plan I am talking about is regarding management which focus on sharing the power among Co-leaders. This is framework;

1. There are 3 power holders; Witch Doctor, Kyra and Co-leaders.
2. Witch Doctor and Kyra will exercise our power separated from Co-leaders.
3. Co-leaders can do anything they want that include making rules and regulations. They also can exercise their power. Of course they cant demote/kick Co-leaders. So, for this task, Leader can help them to demote/kick Co-leaders.
4. Co-leaders will discuss among themselves what to do. They will elected one Co-leader "in-charge." If anything require Leader's attention, this Co-leader in-charge will become the representative of all Co-leaders. Leader must do what this Co-leader in-charged ask for.
5. The power of Co-leaders is unlimited. However, they cant pick/choose new Leader a.k.a. they cant kick existing Leader. Any rules agreed among Co-leaders should be presented to Leader to be approved.

As you can see, Co-leaders power has been greatly enhance to allow them participating more in clan affairs. They will determine the future of this clan. I will give 1 month for this plan. If it doesnt work, we will revert to old style; power hunger dictatorship Machiavellian rule of Witch Doctor.

Attack Strategies Comparison

There is a lot of attack guides you can find in the Internet. Some website discuss famous strategies like Gowipe, Govaloon and Gohog. Some discuss what strategies should be used at any TH level like Raccoon Bot.

As for this article, I will present to you the comparison between those famous strategies according to my perspective and what convenience for you.

This is just simple comparison to give basic idea. Of course each people looks at it differently. Some might favoring Giant than much powerful attacks like Gowipe and Gohog. Sometimes, these powerful attacks didn't produce better result than Giant. There are many factors, externalities or unexpected events that could mess your attack.

Lightning Earthquake Combo

Lightning+Earthquake combination (LE combo) is a technique use to destroying buildings especially Air Defense. This strategic goal is very useful if you want to use air attack where Air Defense will become major danger. Sometime, LE combo can also be used to destroy Inferno Tower. Lightning itself can be used to destroy Air Defense or Inferno Tower, but LE combo is much more desirable as you can save at least 1 normal spell for other uses. Utilizing 1 dark spell that available directly for you or 1 dark spell that available through CC can play major role in your overall strategy.

In this article, we will specify the use on LE combo on Air Defense. How many Lightning needed of what level to destroy 1 Air Defense of what level with combination of what level of Earthquake spell. Diagram 1 show the level of Air Defense that LE combo can be used. For example, 2L5+1E1 can destroy AD6.

In addition to Diagram 1, I also table how much damage can Lightning spell inflicted in order to know how many need to destroy any level Air Defense. Diagram 2 above illustrate Lightning+Lightning combination without Earthquake. You need to know this as well because some LL combo doesn't need Earthquake at all. 2 Level 5 Lightning can destroy AD3, 2L6 can destroy AD4 and 2L7 can destroy AD6. Knowing this will enable you save 1 slot spell for other usage.

Be careful, both diagram show what Lightning and Earthquake can do. It assume you do it correctly. If your placement skill is not good enough, you LE combo or LL combo might failed miserably. Sometime, if AD placement is not good such as 2 or more AD are put closely together, you can manipulate spells in order to use lesser amount. For example, TH9 can destroy 2AD with 4L and 2E. If AD placement is bad, you can use 4L and only 1E. It also possible to use only 3L and 1 or 2E.

Tips for Farming (24 March 2016)

Farming is essential if you going for Rebel mode. Strategy that focus on war need a good farming strategy as that village will not have good defenses or high level mines and collectors. Farming also highly related to offensive strategy as person who farming need to know when to farm and how to farm. My farming strategy involve short intense farming that require offensive attributes like high commitment and good farming troops. Since, Rebel mode will lack defenses attributes, I am using "troll techniques" to increase my defensive and getting some strategic goals. What is "trolls techniques?" It is hard to define but the best words to describe it is "fooling your enemies." In this article, I will share my farming strategy that manipulated some aspects of trolling.

1. Troops
I am using Giant, Wall Breaker, Archer and Goblin. So, these troops should be high level. However, lower level also should works but with less efficiency. Meaning you need to use more troop if using lower level. Level is less priority when comparing to how you farm.

2. Base to farm
There are two types of base that you should focus on: dead base and mines/collectors/drills outside. You will be very lucky if base with mines/collector/drills outside also is dead base. You should familiar with how many resources stored inside those mines/collectors. This require experience and sharp eyes. Full or nearly full mines/collectors/drills have certain distinct appearances. For example, full collectors is dark purple. If most mines/collectors/drills are full, this is dead base. If all collectors are full, all mines and drills should be full as well. Mines/collectors/drills outside base is referring to base with all or some mines/collectors/drills that can easily reach by you. Often, these mines/collectors/drills are located outside wall. Usually, this is not dead base but the amount resources available can be beneficial or profitable to you.

3. Techniques to farm
There are few techniques and strategies can be use. The most basic one is shooting with Archers or robing with Goblins. Put these troops to collect resources. Giants are use to distract defenses while Archers and Goblins take the loots. If mines/collectors/drills are located inside walls, these walls can be broke by Wall Breakers first. Alternatively, Archers can should from outside as well.

4. When to farm
I dont farm constantly. I only farm when I have Builder or when my working Builder almost done his job. When I almost maxed my village, I sometime will not use my last remaining Builder as this Builder specifically to upgrade walls. Meaning, at any time, I only use four Builders. The 4th Builder considered as my last Builder and my 5th Builder as special Builder that require to upgrade walls. When I have target what to build or what to upgrade, than I start farming.

5. Troll Techniques (TT)
The idea of these techniques is to reduce the risk losing collected resources to other attackers. Some can be use to increase Trophies. Why Trophies is important in Farming? Getting trophies in Farming is different from Trophies Push strategy. It happen that better league usually have better players. Better players usually have more resources. You still need certain amount of Trophies  so that you can be in pool with these players. Plus, during Farming, you will losing Trophies dramatically. This is why you need TT to increase your Trophies involuntarily.

As you can see from Diagram 1, I use Eagle Artillery and Gold Storages as baits. Some attacker like to destroy Eagle Artillery for achievement. Some players see Gold Storages as free meals. I dont mind give them these as I will get free Trophies in return. This fix perfectly with my Farming. When I lose Trophies during farming, I will get some back with this TT. There are a lot of TT that you can think off. Just be creative and manipulate anything that give best outcomes to you. Remember that you cant have anything you want. So, you should think about something that you should give up.

Diagram 2 show my defense log for the past 24 hours and notice I won all. I obtained 148 Trophies for free (free because I dont use troops). In return, I gave (lost) 1.3M gold and 7,295 elixir. What is my farming target? It is not elixir. I am targeting dark elixir and I only lost 84 in 24 hours. Enemy can attack me nonstop if they want and I will increase my Trophies involuntarily which I spend on my real Farming strategy.

6. Farming Strategy
Now, we gonna learn my Farming strategy.
6.1 Focus on 1 building upgrade or new building to build only. If your next plan is to upgrade Barrack, focus on this only. This means you gonna need elixir. So, your farming should only targeting elixir although you also need certain amount of gold that needed to search bases. A part from these golds, spend any gold you have or you can use TT as mention by Diagram 1 above (putting Gold Storage as bait). This strategy not only increase your elixir faster but also reduce the risk of attacker looting from you. If there are 3 types of attackers that farming like you do, they can be someone who want elixir only, gold only, or both elixir and gold. By reducing your gold amount, you already reduce the risk by 1/3. Someone who wanting gold only will not targeting you. Putting Gold Storages outside base will give free gold to all of them. Logically, they more likely to take free gold and leave rather than risking their troops by attacking your base for all. This is why focusing on 1 resource only is the best for farming.

6.2 Farming nonstop until you get enough resource. Obviously, keeping your village online will protect you from the attackers. This is why you need a correct timing when to farming. In order to farming nonstop, you need a proper attacking techniques (3), productive Barracks (or Dark Barracks), uninterrupted online time (free time without or minimal distraction). Proper attacking techniques is needed to increase your farming efficiency and profitability. In most cases, your goal is not obtaining the most resources but obtaining the maximum profit. Obtaining 200k elixir not necessarily better if you are using full strength army. This is because you need elixir to train them and most importantly you also need time to train them. Farming 10k elixir from each base can be better if you just using few Archers or Goblins. 20 raids will enable you to get 200k and you still can continue this nonstop as used troops can be replaced with good production line. At this case, I like to utilize all my Barracks and Dark Barracks to enable me farming nonstop. In this case, I use Minions as well. If you farming right, you can search for dead base or near dead and obtaining 200k loot and continuously get that numbers for entire farming. You can get more than 3M elixir in just 30 minutes if you be patience and doing farming right. Most importantly, these 3M elixir will not get stole as you farming nonstop.

Living as Witch Doctor Part 4

Part 4 (Creating Clan and become the Leader) 
After left Malaysian Fire, I think I did join few random clans. Non can I remembered as I dont think I stay for long time in one clan. Then, I decide to become the Leader myself, proposing and executing my own rules. At this stage, I am still rookie without having much knowledge about COC or having high level troops. But I do remember my Giant and Hog are quite strong. My Giant probably at least level 5 and my Hog at least level 4. At that time, Giant max at level 6 and Hog max at level 5. Perhaps these two troops are the important asset of my leadership quality. I donate a lot Giant and Hog, helping many new players to survive early stage of COC. Among clan that I created is Anarki, Malaysia, spr & mar. Others I cant tell or cant remember. Yes, I created few before I create Conspiracy. All my clan considered as successful as I can attract other player to join in just a few days. This is not an easy task as people will not join newly created clan with low level players. I work hard to bringing up all my clans like inviting all available players in Global. Then, I lowered my trophies to the minimum so I can invite any player in the league who still dont have clan. Then, for each enemy I attack, I also will invite if he/she doesn't belong to any clan. I use any possible way to invite and attract players to join me.

I consider Conspiracy as my first official clan mostly because I spend more time here and creating legacies. I also know many member in person such as Cool, Rambo, Chulhi and Thuyhu. Although I am better than them, but we are still low level player. I think Cool was level 30+ when join. She might be at most TH4. Thuyhu was the best player that join me. He probably at least TH7. He is very active like me. So, we working hard bringing this clan into comfortable level. Slowly Conspiracy becoming strong without the help of high level players. This is the reason why my love towards Conspiracy is deep.

At Conspiracy, I also develop rules and order which make this clan strong. This rules and order become the pillar of any rules I made after including rules at CS. Among the rules are the emphasis of powerful and undisputed leader, how to do donation/request, compulsory of war, and no right of rejoin. As you recalled in Part 3, I said the reason why I not allow level request because it hurt my dignity. Now at Conspiracy, I refine the reason by saying leveled request will not benefit teamwork. Since I achieved max level Giant and Hog, everyone will request level to get it and I am the only one can donate. This will not benefit teamwork. People should help each other and willing to learn how to share and appreciate. So, it is not so much because of dignity anymore rather than improving team work. During this era, this rule was so important as anyone request level or anything meaning level will be kicked automatically. I recalled I kick many higher level player (even higher than me) because of this rule. There is no doubt in me that I made a right decision. Teamwork is the most important.

Interestingly enough, this rule change a bit during KuKAW/CS era as I do allow leveled request. I am not sure who trigger me to change it but Ariana probably among the one who constantly criticize or commenting my rules or leadership. The idea is this, if I keep kicking top player, clan will not grow. Top player usually request leveled troops because they engaging tough opponent thus need better troop. As a compromise, I amend this rule a bit what I called "Request what you want, donate what people one" policy. Instantly, this rule also apply to KuKAW. Well, if I my calculation is right, this rule change during my stay at KuKAW; during the rebuilding phase of it. Of course at that time I already planned my puppet in CS to run this clan from shadow.

Back to Conspiracy, I become leader there for some time. We achieve many great things. We also made friends. I trusting my charismatic leadership with a strong believe in my clanmates that enable me to handling clan affair to others.I dont just rules them. I also create new leader. This give me satisfaction too. Thats why I easily give leadership to Cool. She at that time is very low level player. There are many top level player who actively contributing to clan. But, I always train the one I consider as trusty with high leadership quality. For me, leadership quality and charismatic is the same thing; able to rally people or persuade people to follow order. Beside that, leader must always active to handle clan affair. This is management. You dont need to be a high level player to be leader of any of my clans. I just prove that I dont need to be high level player with high level troop to be leader. I also dont need high level players to join my clan. Now you know everyone can join our clan. Because we dont need high level player. What we need a teamwork that will come at any level player. We should allow and give chance to anyone to join us. Now, all my clans at high level. I build these clans from scratch. Some, I rebuilt again after some damages with the same rules and orders that seem odd at first.

Update 21st March 2016

Release Notes

Welcome to the new Clash of Clans Balancing Blog! Going forward, each update will now be accompanied by an in-depth explanation of the gameplay changes we are making. We’re planning to be a lot more active in terms of balancing troops, defenses and gameplay in 2016. Rather than only waiting for major updates, we'll be regularly addressing offense/defense balance, troop viability and more, with the goal of keeping attacks interesting, exciting and rewarding of player skill. We especially look forward to improving the dev team's communication to players with this effort!

Here are some of the upcoming changes in more detail:
TOWN HALL 11
• Grand Warden Life Aura and Eternal Tome range reduced slightly
The Grand Warden's massive ability range and unique AI have made him a unit where placement doesn't matter as much as it should. A slight reduction in his range should help make Clash’s newest Hero a bit more challenging to place and play effectively.
TOWN HALL 10+
• Inferno Tower Multi-mode acquires new targets faster
The Inferno Tower Multi-mode re-targeting delay was initially added a long time ago due to overwhelming effectiveness against Witches. With the latest Witch level in armies and donations, however, a speed increase is needed to help bring the defense back in-balance with even larger hordes of Skeletons.
• Town Hall 10 and 11 players are less likely to find each other in Multiplayer
Now that more players have progressed to Town Hall 11, we can make adjustments to matchmaking that will result in less TH11/10 matchups. Note that players in Champion league and above will not be affected.

TOWN HALL 9+
• All Skeleton hitpoints reduced
Skeletons should be a fragile unit that overcome their inability to survive damage by sheer numbers. However their hitpoints were just a sliver too high, preventing Archer Towers from destroying them with a single arrow in some cases. The hitpoint decrease will make sure that Archer Towers stay effective against Skeleton hordes.
• Skeletons spawned from Witches no longer trigger traps
One of the Clash of Clans development values is Depth. This means that it should take well-thought armies, strategic deployment and mastery of troop behavior to achieve the best results. If we find a single troop, single spell army with a single deployment strategy (Earthquake and mass-Witch) semi-reliably 3-starring maxed out defenses, something is out of balance. Sometimes simple HP and DPS tweaks can solve the issue, but sometimes something more is needed to bring units into balance in the right way, without making them obsolete.
This was the example with the Hog Rider before we introduced the 1.5x damage from Giant Bombs. Rather than simply making the unit too weak to be useful at all, this extra gameplay twist required Hog Rider enthusiasts to play with more skill to avoid traps and pull off a sweet 3-star Hog Rush. In a similar way, making Skeletons not trigger traps will leave mass-Witch armies vulnerable to an abrupt end via traps, unless the attacker carefully charts out potential hazards or uses a more diverse army to clear the way ahead.
• Goblin level 6 has been moved to Town Hall 9 (was TH10)
We've been a bit stingy with the Goblin levels. Goblin-lovers represent!
• X-Bow levels 2-4 damage increased
Once upon a time, the X-Bow was the most menacing defense in Clash. Now, with ultra-tanky Giants, Golems and Lava Hounds, X-Bows could use a bit of a boost to help stay relevant at later levels, especially as TH9 defense balance hinges upon them. The X-Bow previously rode just under Archer Tower DPS per TH level, but these changes put it slightly over.

TOWN HALL 8+
• Valkyrie damage increased, hitpoints decreased
We're trying to win a place in people's armies with one of Clash of Clans' least used troops. A general DPS increase sweetens the prospect, but the big difference is below, and is balanced by the hitpoints decrease.
• Valkyrie starts attacking much faster after reaching her target - give her a try!
Valkyrie is a unit that runs in deep and hits hard, positing herself dangerously, often recklessly, to maximize her spin-attack damage. However, her wind-up speed has been so long that often groups of Valkyries spend more time waiting to attack (and dying) than actually dealing damage. With this change, the Valkyrie will launch into her spin much faster once she reaches that prime position, making her a much snappier, more reactive and nimble troop.
• Wizard Tower levels 5-9 hitpoints increased, greatly increased at later levels
Wizard Towers are a sturdy and reliable source of splash damage early on in Clash of Clans because of their huge HP to DPS ratio, but this rapidly falls off in the mid-to-late game, even as armies get bigger and stronger. By Town Halls 9 and 10, Wizard Towers collapse like a house of cards, despite looking like a huge mountain. A significantly higher hitpoint scaling will help keep Wizard Towers relevant on defense even into the later game, and bring them better in-line with the Cannon and Archer Tower hitpoint buffs we've already done in earlier updates.
• Defending Troops (but not Heroes) flee from Poison Spells if they are standing idle
Poison Spells are geared towards giving your army an advantage in troop-versus-troop combat, mainly by reducing enemy attack speed and providing a steady HP burn. However, it's typically more effective to just lure defenders one step out of the Clan Castle and drop one to two Poison Spells on their head to avoid the whole confrontation. Not only is this boring and time consuming, it makes Clan Castle defense more of a formality by the attacker than a strategic consideration mid-battle. Lightning will still remain an effective method for dispensing of idle defending troops caught off-guard, but now attackers will have to engage defenders directly to reap the benefits of the Poison cloud.

TOWN HALL 5+

• All Dark Spells brewing time decreased to 10 minutes
• All Elixir Spells brewing time decreased to 20 minutes
The Clash of Clans team is looking at ways to make playing easier, faster and with less downtime. Spell brewing time is the obvious first bottleneck here, but there is still more that can be done in the future.

ALL LEVELS
• Battle time limit reduced to be 3 minutes per attack once again
In the TH11 update, we played a bit too cautious with the battle time limits. There were three main reasons why we changed it to 3 minutes and 30 seconds: the play field was expanding, the number of buildings and/or walls had been increasing over many Town Hall levels, and the Eagle Artillery could be tackled by tactical pre-strikes. However, monitoring the situation post-update, it turned out the extra 30 seconds of battle time wasn't really needed. Bringing the time limit back to 3 minutes will help bring back shorter and tighter battles for all players, and was especially requested by the war community.
• Revenge attacks award Star Bonus and League Bonus rewards
A long requested player feature. Enjoy!
• New building constructions can no longer be cancelled (upgrades can still be cancelled)
This change is mainly to prevent the intentional building and selling of high level defenses during Clan Wars to get an unfair advantage.

• "Star button" has been replaced with a bigger "War Details" button on the bottom-right of the war map
OTHER:
• Builder Summary: Tap the Builder icon to see all in-progress construction
• Tap an entry in the builder summary to select it in the Village
• When attacking, army selection bar shows left/right scroll arrows if an undeployed unit or spell is hidden off-screen
• Tapping the Loot Cart shows how many resources are inside before collecting
• Resource storages have more visual states to indicate more clearly how full or empty they are
• Exploding traps indicate their area of effect more clearly in battle
• Battles now end automatically if only a Poison Spell is remaining, and no longer end automatically if only an Earthquake Spell is remaining
• More replays are stored in the Defense Log and Attack Log, and are available for longer
• Army Overview shows time until training/brewing is complete, also accounting for active boosts
• Player Profiles unlocked units area reorganized

Living as Witch Doctor Part 3

Part 3 (Leaving Malaysian Fire)
There are few reason why I don't want to be here anymore. Maybe because I am nobody and only few people can say words on how clan should be. I am just a rookie player that only connected to clan because of my roommates. I dont even know who is my clanmates and I am pretty sure they connecting each other via Whatsapp of Wechat. So, I don't know the back stage stories. I only get instruction on which opponent to attack via my roomate.

Related to this, I don't like few rules and double standard treatment by clan's senior. From the beginning I hate the idea that people can request level troop. This is because I am the rookie that happen not to have strong troops. I felt that I am useless. I am so active that my request is so high. Although I am willing to donate, I can't donate because most people only request high level troops. Some more, there are order that only level 5 and above troops can be donated. At the end, my donation can't keep up with my request. Because my received troops is so appealing, I think many people notice it and talk about how imbalance my donation/request ratio. So I decide to leave.

Believe me I know how it felt to be rookie player. Not having reputation or good level troops. Obviously this affect my dignity. This is what you know about me now. When I am TH2 , I never ask for specific level. All my clans I created have this rules "Do not request level, name, max or anything that means level." The rules remain when this clan is level 1 or level 9 clan. This is what I believe from the beginning. So, at level 200+, my principle remains.


WitchDoctor910: Day 13-16

Today is 22nd March 2016. New updates come out on 21st March featuring many new changes and new items. The most exciting updates for me are the Browler and Inferno Tower level 4. However, this updates also gave me trouble as I cant play my baby account on Samsung Galaxy Tab. Apparently, my Google+ Play store multiple accounts which I knew before hand. It was my WitchDoctor910 and roro. Roro actually a TH2 account which I accidentally created when first using BlueStacks. This account automatically store in my Google+ Play which already have WitchDoctor910. What happen now I only retrieve roro when I connected with Google+ Plus. Luckily I also save WitchDoctor910 in Game Store. Still, this give unpleasant experience as I need to solve it as soon as possible.

In the meantime, I will briefly tell the journey of WitchDoctor910 from Day 13 to Day 16. On Day 13, I upgrade 2nd Army Camp level 4 and 1st Army Camp 5. Then, I upgrade 1st Elixir Storage level 9. There is no obvious reason with today upgrade strategy. Well, this will enhance my war effort. Also, upgrading buildings that need Elixir seem better at current moment.

On Day 14, I continue my upgrade with Archer level 3, 2nd Elixir Storage level 9, back to back Archer Tower level 3 and 4, 1st Cannon level 4 and 2nd Cannon level 5, Barrack level 7, 2nd Archer Tower level 4, Wizard Tower level 2 and 2nd Army Camp level 5. As you noticed, I started to upgrade my defenses. In my calculation, I dont have many upgrades that need Elixir. So, I want to avoid wasting Elixir later on if I cant use it. This also means I should start think about upgrading my TH level 6.

On Day 15, I finally upgrading my TH6 calculating that my last Laboratory upgrade will ended right before TH6 completed. My plan is good as I think also be able to upgrade most my defenses.  Then, I upgrade 1st Cannon level 4 and 2nd Cannon level 6.

On Day 16, I upgrade Wizard level 2, Archer Tower, Cannon and Archer Tower level 6. Today also battle day with olo, my new clan. I attack #20 which is mid TH5. For this attack, I request Healer so I can use Giant+Healer attack. This works pretty well. Frankly, I do think Effendy is good in Giant attack. So, I gonna try to beat him using this strategy. Thats why my second attack on #19 also using Giant+Healer. #19 is max TH6 and I barely manage to get 1 star. Well, I should admitted that I am not good enough. My decision leaving CS probably right. By starting from zero, no connection, no good troops, follow other's instruction, this can be quite challenging. I love it and at the same time I become less enthusiastic to play this account.

Living as Witch Doctor Part 2

Part 2 (Introduction to Clash of Clans)
The one did manage to get me involve in this game is my roommates during my stay at Shah Alam. They actually my brother's friends. To be honest, I playing COC without any help from them. I meant they didn't teach me how to play at the beginning. This is the reasons, I made may unusual game play such as not attacking other villages for few days as you get few days shield when starting the game. I also have no upgrade strategy. I upgrade randomly for these few days. During attack, I try most troops and end up liking the Balloon. I use Balloon as my main troops. Then, I shift into Giant base attack. Typically a bunch of Giant backup with Healer. So, I use 4 type of troops which are Giant, Wall Breaker, Healer and Archer. How do I ended up with this strategy? Because my village got sacked by this Giant + Healer any single time.

In term of clan, I did not join any of my friend's clan. I probably too ego to receive any help from them or to join one clan due to personal connection. I want to build my village myself, also building connection with other players. So, I jump one clan to another. Non can I recalled. Finally I join my roommates clan called Malaysian Fire. Maybe because they want me so badly there. I am pretty sure my ego too high to concede my first philosophy of not joining friend's clan. Anyhow I stay there for few months. This is when clan war was introduced. I able to felt the excitement of this big changes. My war attack however is so bad as I have no real strategy and feeling how to play this game. I still using Giant+Healer strategy like I use during normal attack. Somehow, my mirror enemy is so hard to be beaten. I am losing war attack so much and losing elixir too that I don't want to war anymore. I even ask my roommate to attack for me. Then, come a big shift as he show me replay how our clanmates attack using Dragon. You see, I don't have feeling how to play this game that I don't bother to watch replays. That replay change everything as I now moving into Dragon strategy for war. Still, I need to wait few days as I don't unlock Dragon yet.

This is important step as winning cause me to experiencing and enjoying this game. Still, Dragon need so much elixir that my looting is not enough. I felt that I have no hope in this game. Then, the same roommate show me how he is farming. Only few archer per mine or collector. If you obtain more elixir than what it cost you, then you should do it. Both knowledge I learn from him are vital as I am now considered myself as farming expert. Thats why I can have many TH10 accounts because I know how to farm. Point here, two techniques (farming and Dragon attack) change who I am. The same should happen to you. Dont give up if you think this game is not for you. Why everybody else better than you? Why that person can perform attack better than me? How I gonna find enough gold or elixir to upgrade building that cost 5M and above? These kind of questions are normal and should happen once in the course of becoming good player. Just ask, learn and practice. Try first before you judge. When people give tips and you think it is not good, remind yourself that it is not waste to try.

Fairness and Unfairness in Clash of Clans

Gender Equality in Games and Sports
Did you ever consider why men and women are usually separated in sports? Short answer is that men is better than women. Playing against each other (men vs women) or playing in the same league or system are considered as unfair as both gender not equally strong or weak. Probably the same reason why men get paid more than women in term of prize money.

Polgar Paradigm
Can you think one sport that women is better than men? There is none! In general men intended to be more superior than women in sports. Even if you able to think that sport, you still cant deny the essence of gender separation in sport which is because both genders are not equally strong or weak. In chess, Judith Polgar is undisputed women chess player. Ironically, she herself is not world chess champion or women's world chess champion. She was considered as one because she able to defeat many world champion that happen to be a men. There is no men's world chess champion as world chess champion simply means you are the best chess player. Women's Chess Championship is created to allow women to compete to determine who is better women chess player. Polgar herself did not compete in women tournament.

The same goes to games like Clash of Clans. Although it seem that there is no obvious reason why men should be better than women, men are still better. If you look at clan that join or won international tournament, men obviously dominating women in term of number participation or tournament result. The same happen to any esport like DotA and Starcraft where men are dominating despite computer games is not primary base on strength which women lack. Naturally, men is better than women in games or sports.

Equality in Clash of Clans
If we take out gender equation from Clash of Clash, unfairness still can happen. This is because the game itself base on money. If you can by gems for most things, can you consider this is a fair game? Isn't that obvious that richer player will gain more success than poorer? Can you consider top player in the world is the strongest if he use money to buy gems? If you don't use money, can you consider better than this top player? You cant.

Lets just assume we cant use money to buy gems. Do you think this game is fair if somebody else can play it with better devices such as Ipad and Iphone while you playing with other devices. I don't think so either. Everyone should play with the same device if you want everything should be fair. How about people who having more devices and more accounts. Do you think this is fair? How about people who have no job and can play longer time than you can. Are you consider this as fair or unfair?

Point here, there is no equality in Clash of Clans. You should use every possible ways to win the game. You should not be judging by the way you playing it. This is why we have rules in tournament. With rules, you need to limit your ways that should not violate those rules. If you violate the rules, the organizer can disqualify you because organizer make tournament to see who is better in playing the game under certain rules. This is also the main reason why men and women are separated in most sport. Because the organizer want to see certain aspect and require participants to follow. In women football for example, organizer want to see which women team is better. As simple as that.

Back to Clash of Clans, as long you can play the game without being penalized by Supercell or any organizer, you are clean and play fairly. This include playing with "cheat tools" like XMOD. XMOD is a tool that enable additional features to assist players. XMOD enable you the search base automatically until you find bases that meet your preferences or requirement. Plus, it also enable you to have mock or practice attack on village you like. Unlike money, XMOD is not approve by Supercell. However, so far they cant penalized player that used XMOD. So, can we consider XMOD as fair or unfair? If they set the rules but unable to execute penalties to player who violate it, can you consider that as rules at first place?

I think money and XMOD are unfair. Money is unfair because not everyone have money and any games should not put money as the main pillar. If you put money as main pillar, then, this game should be called gambling. Of course most games or sports is about money. Poor team cant be a world champion in most sport like Formula One. Although poor team can do well in football World Cup, money increase the chance of winning by a lot. If you don't have money to invest in expensive sport like equestrian, how can you be a champion? But if you think in one direction, with gems you can do most everything in Clash of Clash. Point here, since we can buy gems with money, Clash of Clan will never be a fair game. As for XMOD, this clearly not the way this game intended to be. XMOD cant enter tournament obviously. You can play with XMOD if you want to but at the end of the day, you should follow what creator or organizer decisions. Since this is not the way it intended to be, you probably not going to utilize XMOD freely.

Devices and time are not unfair. Poor people should not play this game so do busy people. If we say this game is unfair because poor people or busy people said so, all games or sports in this world will fall into the same category. Malaysia will file summon to International Court of Justice because FIFA organizing unfair sport. Malaysian is shorter or physically weak compare to other nations hence make football as unfair sport. Swimming is not fair sport as we are not good swimmer. These complaints will goes on and on as people will oppose anything that disadvantage to them or give advantage to others.

If Supercell and organizer does not give  preference about devices and time, we cant say it is unfair. So do money and XMOD. As long we can play it, we should continue to play as we find fits.

Living as Witch Doctor Part 1

As mention before, I play this game more than 2 years. Why not telling people the journey I going through. This is my blog and I surely can make it as my diary so one day I can recall the past. Sector of people that I call friends can also appreciate this journey.

Part 1 (Pre-Clash of Clans)
I know this game few month before I started playing it. I am addicted DotA player. This is the reason I call my self Witch Doctor; one of heroes or characters in DotA.

Most of the time, I am with my computer playing games or other nonsense craps. My brother and my friend apparently playing some sort of mobile games. I have no interest in such games as I find most mobile games are girly and for sissy. I did have sneak up on the game that they playing. Oh ya, at that time Clash of Clans is not available for Android, one of reason why I didn't play. I did however install one game that have "clash" on its name. Maybe Castle Clash. Since this is not the game that my friend play, so I abandon it immediately after. I don't even know how to play and didn't remember how I am playing it.

Bizarre Strategy, 100% Win

Related to clan weight that I wrote yesterday, here I come up with unique, bizarre and insanely sounded strategy that will give 100% win.

First, you need to have team of early TH10 that didnt have any Inferno Tower yet. You can have as many TH10 you can. The more TH10 you have, he higher the chance of winning.

Second, search a war. Your opponent will be determined by clan weight as usual. So, you should expect the same amount of TH10 that you have. If your clan have 30 TH10 in 30v30 war. Your opponent should have the same amount of TH10. Lets just assume everything is the same including how both clan will attack. This means both clan have similar stars. Normally, since each TH10 in each clan didnt have Inferno Tower, lets assume each TH10 can 3 stars their mirror. So, every TH10 can be 3 star by their attackers. Both clans should get 90 stars.

Third, during preparation day, each TH10 of your clan build 1 Inferno Tower at cost 5M gold. If each of you can build 2 Inferno Tower, the chance of winning double.

Fourth, edit your war base which now should include Inferno Tower. Interesting to note, each building under construction should be fully functioned. Although in normal village, your Inferno Tower under construction, this Inferno Tower already completed in war base. So, can you guess what happen next?

Fifth, during battle day, attack as usual. All of you can 3 stars all TH10. So, your clan get 90 stars. What happen to your opponent clan? They will not get 3 stars. Some might be able to 3 stars. But the chance of getting 3 stars will be slimmer as each base of your clan now have Inferno Tower. That is why if each of you build 2 Inferno Tower, the chance of they getting 3 stars ever slimmer. In most case, TH10 with 2 Inferno Towers can only be 2 stars. So, your clan win.

Sixth, after war ended. All of you should sell this Inferno Tower and get refund 50%.

Seventh, start new war. Your clan should be matched up with similar clan weight. Since your clan dont have Inferno Tower anymore, your clan should be fighting with similar weight clan aka with no Inferno Tower like second steps above.

Eight, follow step 3 and you can do this how many times you want. Clan will win 100% assuming your opponent did not use this strategy. Each war u will be winning about 1M gold, 1M elixir and 3K dark elixir at the cost of at least 2.5M gold. This sound not a lot. But imagine that you now be able to determine yourself the outcome of your own war. Plus, if you create new clan. This clan can be easily be level 10 clan. You also will be famous as the one who executing this bizarre strategy.

Clan Weight (Pemberat Clan)

Apa itu Clan Weight?
Clan weight (cw) merujuk kepada pemberat yang dipadankan dengan clan supaya ketika menentukan lawan dalam clan war, suatu clan akan dipadankan dengan clan yang mempunyai pemberat yang sama atau hampir sama. Dalam pengertian lain, setiap clan akan diberikan satu nilai kekuatan di mana kekuatan ini akan menentukan lawan clan tersebut dalam clan war. Pemberat, weight atau kekuatan ini ditentukan oleh building, troop atau objek yang dipunyai clan tersebut. Jika kekuatan building, troop atau objek tersebut adalah 10,000, clan tersebut akan dipadankan dengan clan yang mempunyai kekuatan yang setara iaitu 10,000.

Perihal terperinci tentang cw tidak didedahkan oleh Supercell. Namun begitu, wujudnya kumpulan clasher (pemain COC) yang membuat kajian dan melaporkan hasil dapatan mereka. Antaranya Moskri Clashheads yang telah berkongsi maklumat ini. 

Cw merupakan jumlah keseluruhan kekuatan yang ada pada kesemua anggota yang menyertai war. Ini bermakna, setiap village mempunyai weight tersendiri yang akan dicampurkan dengan weight village-village yang lain. Jumlah keseluruhan kekuatan village inilah yang dikenali sebagai cw seperti yang ditunjukkan dalam Rajah 1.

Bagaimanakah mengira Clan Weight?
Setiap building (pertahanan), troop dan objek mempunyai nilai-nilai kekuatan atau pemberat yang spesifik. Tidak diketahui bagaimanakah Supercell menentukan pemberat bagi setiap building, troop ataupun objek. Namun, menurut kajian-kajian sedia ada, ianya tidak ditentukan oleh dps (damage dalam satu saat) ataupun tahap building, troop atau objek ini dapat diunlock. Ini bermaksud, Hidden Tesla tidak semestinya mempunyai pemberat yang lebih tinggi berbanding Archer Tower ataupun Canon meskipun Hidden Tesla hanya boleh dibina pada tahap TH7. Malah, Hidden Tesla merupakan antara building yang mempunyai pemberat yang rendah jika hendak dibandingkan kekuatan atau damagenya.

Building yang mempunyai level lebih tinggi akan mempunyai pemberat yang lebih tinggi. Begitu juga troop dan objek-objek lain. Oleh itu, Archer Tower level 1 mempunyai nilai lebih rendah berbanding Archer Tower level 2. Disebabkan setiap village mempunyai jumlah building dan objek yang banyak jika dibandingkan dengan troop, maka pemberat lebih banyak ditentukan oleh building atau objek ini. Dengan erti kata lain, pemberat merupakan pertahanan suatu village.

Pengkaji dapat menentukan pemberat ini berdasarkan pemerhatian atau pengiraan jumlah Gold di dalam Gold Storage dan TH dalam setiap village dalam war (cuma dalam Battle Day). Jika diperhatikan, wujudnya jumlah Gold tertentu di dalam Gold Storage village war. Gold ini didakwa merujuk kepada pemberat. Jika village itu mempunyai Gold sebanyak 10,000, maka pemberat villagenya adalah 10,000. Seterusnya pengkaji melihat apakah building, troop atau objek yang dipunyai village ini. Berdasarkan jumlah Gold dan building, troop dan objek yang dipunyai, pengkaji dapat mengira atau menentukan pemberat bagi setiap building, troop atau objek.

Berdasarkan Rajah 2, Kamaa (MAiC 5) mempunyai pemberat berjumlah 99,000 iaitu jumlah Gold di dalam 4 Gold Storage dan TH di mana setiap satu mempunyai 19,800 gold. Witch Doctor pula mempunyai pemberat berjumlah 94,000. Oleh sebab itu, Kamaa (MAiC 5) berada pada ranking lebih tinggi berbanding Witch Doctor. Jika dilihat pada level building dan objek yang dipunyai Witch Doctor adalah lebih tinggi berbanding Kamaa (MAic 5). Namun, perbezaan pemberat mereka dipisahkan oleh level Heroes yang lebih tinggi yang dipunyai Kamaa (MAiC 5). Kelebihan pemberat pada Heroes Kamaa (MAiC 5) mengatasi kelebihan pemberat pada building Witch Doctor. Secara keseluruhannya pula, cw bagi CS merupakan hasil tambah jumlah pemberat bagi kesemua anggota yang menyertai war.

Aplikasi Clan Weight
Berdasarkan pemahaman ini, clan boleh merangka strategi bagi menentukan lawan mereka dalam war. Setiap clasher juga boleh merangka strategi boleh membolehkan mereka mendapat advantage dalam war seterusnya meningkatkan peluang clan mereka untuk menang. Oleh sebab itu, wujudnya TH Rush di mana clasher memanipulasi pemberat ini supaya mempunyai pemberat yang rendah namun pada masa yang sama mempunyai kekuatan troop yang hebat bagi menewaskan musuh disebabkan cw banyak ditentukan oleh pertahanan berbanding kuasa menyerang.

Dapat dilihat dengan jelas Mar Andoc menggunakan pemahaman ini semaksima mungkin. Jika diperhatikan, Mar Andoc hanya mempunyai 1 Canon level 1 tetapi mempunyai 4 Air Defense level 6. Mar Andoc juga membina Hidden Tesla dan Air Sweeper. Hal ini kerana pemberat bagi Air Defense, Hidden Tesla dan Air Sweeper adalah rendah atau lebih menguntungkan jika dilihat pada jumlah damage pertahanan ini seperti mana dapat dilihat dalam Rajah 3. Walau bagaimanapun, building-building dan objek-objek ini masih mempunyai pemberat yang menyumbang kepada pemberat Mar Andoc. Selain itu, Mar Andoc turut mempunyai level troop tertentu yang tinggi seperti Dragon. Oleh sebab itu, rank Mar Andoc tidak mungkin lebih rendah daripada TH4 (pemerhatian setakat ini).

Isu Inferno Ikanduri
Apabila membina atau mengupgrade suatu building, troop atau objek, penting bagi setiap clasher untuk memahami kesannya terhadap pemberat village. Setiap building baru atau naik taraf yang diadakan akan meningkatkan pemberat. Hal ini akan menyebabkan cw meningkat, Kesannya, bukan sahaja clan anda akan dipadankan dengan clan sepadan (lebih hebat berbanding jika bangunan baru atau upgrade tidak dijalankan), anda juga akan dipadankan dengan opponent yang mempunyai pemberat yang sepadan. Jika sebelum ni anda dipadankan dengan mid TH8, penambahan building dan upgrade akan menyebabkan anda dipadankan dengan level TH yang lebih tinggi seperti max TH8 atau low TH9. Jadi, adakah berbaloi untuk membina building pertahanan yang mempunyai pemberat yang tinggi seperti Inferno Tower dan Eagle Artillery?

Jika focus permainan adalah bukan untuk war, maka jawapan bagi soalan di atas adalah ya. Adalah berbaloi untuk membina Inferno Tower dan Eagle Artillery bagi meningkatkan keupayaan pertahanan village. Dalam kes TH10, penambahan Inferno Tower menyebabkan kesan yang signifikan kerana anda kini akan mempunyai peluang yang lebih tinggi untuk terselamat daripada diserang ataupun terselamat daripada serangan. Berdasarkan pemerhatian, penambahan hanya 1 Inferno Tower akan menyebabkan kebanyakan TH9, TH10 dan TH11 tidak menyerang village tersebut. Hanya clasher yang fokus pada Trophies Push akan tetap menyerang village anda. Hal ini kerana, serangan terhadap village yang mempunyai Inferno Tower memerlukan firearm yang tinggi disamping jumlah spells yang banyak. Clasher Farming tidak akan mengambil risiko menyerang village yang mempunyai Inferno Tower selagi jumlah keuntungan yang boleh dikutip adalah sangat berbaloi. Dengan erti kata lain, pemberat bukanlah isu yang perlu difikirkan oleh Normal clasher yang tidak memfokuskan pada war.

Jika war masih menjadi fokus atau clasher menginginkan peluang kemenangan yang lebih tinggi dalam war, maka hal tentang pemberat perlu difikirkan dengan teliti. Penambahan Inferno Tower dan Eagle Artillery menyebabkan pemberat village meningkat dengan mendadak. Bayangkan pemberat bagi 1 Inferno Tower level 1 adalah lebih tinggi berbanding 2 X-Box level 4. Pemberat bagi 9 Hidden Tesla level 8 adalah lebih rendah berbanding 1 Inferno Tower level 3. Dalam hampir setiap kes, penambahan Inferno Tower menyebabkan ranking clasher meningkat dengan mendadak. Sebagai contoh, ranking SOFEYA adalah 9 sebelum Inferno Tower dibina iaitu di bawah Kamaa (MAiC 5), Witch Doctor, Ikanduri, KONTOL 3 PELER, kyra, Effendy, rihanna dan mr_patola. Selepas hanya 1 Inferno Tower dibina, ranking SOFEYA adalah 5. SOFEYA langsung tidak membina atau mengupgrade building-building pertahanan yang lain menunjukkan betapa Inferno Tower mempunyai pemberat yang tinggi. Kesannya, SOFEYA dipadankan dengan village yang lebih kuat. Walau bagaimanapun disebabkan CS mempunyai ramai TH Rush dan banyak pula clasher berlevel rendah, top clanmates masih dipadankan dengan lawan yang boleh dikalahkan.

Pada masa yang sama, penambahan Inferno Tower oleh SOFEYA menyebabkan CS mempunyai 3 pemain yang mempunyai Inferno Tower. Hal ini menyukarkan pihak lawan untuk menewaskan SOFEYA dan CS. Dalam kes-kes biasa, adalah sukar bagi TH9 untuk menewaskan village yang mempunyai Inferno Tower. Meskipun building pertahanan SOFEYA adalah sangat lemah, namun kehadiran Inferno Tower telah meningkatkan kekuatan pertahanan seterusnya meningkatkan peluang kemenangan kepada CS. Dapat diperhatikan penambahan Inferno Tower oleh TH10 tetap menguntungkan clan. Jadi ia bukanlah sesuatu yang negatif meskipun pemain tersebut memberi fokus pada war. Peluang pemain tersebut untuk memenangi attack sepadan mungkin semakin rendah namun peluang untuk clan menjadi tinggi. Dalam kes CS, penambahan Inferno Tower oleh SOFEYA dan Ikanduri dijangka mendatangkan kesan yang positif secara keseluruhannya. Hal ini kerana kesan penambahan cw tadi boleh ditangkis dengan kehadiran TH Rush dan strategi war yang meletakkan ramai pemain-pemain baharu. Sebagai saranan, Ikanduri tidak sepatutnya attack lawan yang tidak mampu dikalahkan tidak kira setinggi manapun ranking Ikanduri dalam war. Ranking ditentukan oleh pertahanan manakala kuasa serangan ditentukan troop level, analisis, strategy dan skills pemain.

Kuasa menyerang Kamaa (MAiC 5), Witch Doctor dan SOFEYA adalah jauh lebih baik daripada pemberat atau beban yang dihasilkan mereka. Oleh itu, adalah berbaloi mereka mempunyai building pertahanan yang baik kerana ini meningkatkan peluang clan untuk menang. Ideally, peningkatan pemberat mestilah sejajar dengan peningkatan kemampuan clasher untuk menyerang.

Dalam jawapan ringkas, TH Rush tidak sepatutnya membina building pertahanan yang mempunyai pemberat yang tinggi seperti Inferno Tower ataupun Eagle Artillery. Ini kerana TH Rush memfokuskan pada war. Mar Andoc, Azuadi dan EMPEROR masih lagi belum membina Inferno Tower ataupun membina building-building pertahanan yang lebih kecil pemberatnya. Apabila TH Rush sampai ke tahap yang kukuh dari segi kekuatan serangan, ia boleh membina Inferno Tower yang akan menguntungkan clan. Tiada sempadan spesifik bila mana Inferno Tower ini akan menguntungkan clan namun apa yang pasti Inferno Tower akan meningkatkan pemberat village dan pemberat clan. Jadi, penentuan sama ada ingin membina atau mengupgrade building pertahanan bergantung sepenuhnya kepada clasher terbabit kerana war bukanlah segala-galanya. Sebagai alternatif, anda boleh mengecualikan diri daripada war atau menyertai clan yang tidak memfokus pada war sehinggalah kuasa menyerang anda berada pada tahap yang tinggi sepadan dengan pemberat atau beban anda pada clan. Setakat kemampuan CS, setiap anggota akan cuba untuk menanggung beban ini bersama-sama. Inilah kelebihan CS kerana kita menerima perbezaan pemahaman dan tujuan bermain COC.

WitchDoctor910: Day 12 (No Clan Castle Upgrade at TH5)

Today is Day 12. I meant the real Day 12. After Laboratory Level 3 completed, finally I can upgrade Goblin Level 3. It took 2 days. Then I upgrading Gold Storage Level 9 so that I can have at least 800K gold to upgrade Clan Castle Level 3. When I have enough gold, I realize that I cant upgrade Clan Castle yet. Damn! I should check this first. But no worry as there is no harm done as upgrading Gold Storage is always the right thing to do. So, i decide to upgrading all my defenses and Army Camp. Then I build Spell Factory and upgrading Barrack Level 8. I say why not. I dont need to farm right now. Lets get those Wizard first. Importantly, my Barrack will be ready for next important upgrade; the Dragon Barrack..

Beside upgrading Defenses, Army Camp and Barrack, I also change black rock wall into gold solid wall. Not all of them, but enough to satisfy myself that I did something to improve my wall. Today is a good day. Farming is not that difficult. My defense also good. At my level, my defense is solid enough.

I am leaving Empire Warrior as there is no real progress. Clan is small with only 13 members. Not much activities. So I decide to jump inside new clan. Not found yet but I am pretty sure it will not take much time or effort.

WitchDoctor910: Day 11 (New Day)

At 12:03PM, my TH5 completed. I straight away upgrade Laboratory Level 3. When I have unemployed Builder, I build most available buildings like Army Camp, Canon, Bomb, Air Bomb, Elixir Collector, Gold Mine and Wizard Tower. So, TH5 bring new offensive and defensive all together. Supposedly I should build Spell Factory to unlock as this is my Mission 2. However I decide not to as I have my eye on Clan Castle Level 3. So, I must upgrade both my Gold Storages. Beside, Spell Factory took 1 day which I could use to upgrade many under level buildings. This will strengthen my village tremendously.

Today also I decide 1 important step. I will leaving CS in searching for new journey. Fresh journey with new challenges and experiences. This is how I am. I cant stay long in one clan. Its getting boring. Plus, I dont want WitchDoctor910 have many advantages as it got in CS. Like ordinary rookie, I should go outside and meet someone and somewhat new clan. In new clan I will be junior and newbie. So, I should behave like one.

Since I already in war, I will attack fast before leaving. Although I am TH5, technically I am still TH4. But troops should be able to handle TH4. As for TH5, I am so sure. Last time I 3 star TH5 because it was not max TH5. The different is now I know TH5 got 2 Air Bombs and 2 Bombs. Base on this new intel however, I still think air attack will be most reliable attack at lower TH. So, I will proceed with Balloon on TH5 #35. #35 have strong defenses with mostly max buildings. So, my real concern is Air Defense Level 3 and 3 Archer Tower Level 6. Without having real experience with Wizard Tower Level 2, I dont know how my Balloon can take it. So, the techniques are similar. First, lure and kill CC troops. Then, I dropped all my Balloons including Balloon CC. They all doing pretty good job clearing defenses. However moving towards the third Archer Tower, they slowly degraded and then were hit by Air Bomb. All my air forces destroyed. So, no star for me.

For second attack I choose TH5 #37. Technically this is TH4 like myself. I used the same strategy like #35 and manage to get 3 stars. I think because critical building like Archer Tower and Air Defense are not max. I also did not trigger any Air Bomb. So, thats pretty much about it.

Immediately after, I leave CS and searching on Global. I ended up in clan name EMPIRE WARRIOR, a level 4 Clan. There is nothing special about this clan, I just felt to join with no particular reason. Its a new day.

-Attack wise, you are very good. Practice at lower TH9 with similar or refine strategy.
-Upgrade Freeze and Jump Spells next if you like to use it often. Alternatively, dont bring them at all. Jump Spell however can be very good but you need to plan timing and placement.
-Get Giant Level 7 as you are a very good Giant attacker.
-Protected Wall Breakers from splasher like Wizard Tower and Mortar. Timing is crucial.
-Scouting and understanding opponent strength and weakness. Before each attack, check CC range so you can plan the effective luring. 
-Be more composure and understanding what happen around. Dont make wild statement unnecessarily.
-Improve leadership quality as people love you so much. We dont want someone like you to be just member.

vi. Unable to plan war well. Missed war for few occasion.

RECOMMENDATION
i. Focus on TH9 for war.
ii. Upgrade Wall Breaker and learn theory about them such as how many to use to destroy each level of wall. Alternatively, you can use 4 earthquake spells to break wall and get deeper into base. If you bring 3 Golems, you should at least get into center.
iii. Study enemy base each war so you can decide which strategy to use. For example, if enemy have X-Box (Ground), plan for Dragon.
iv. You have max Hog Riders which give advantage if using Gohog. So, upgrade Golem until max level.
v. Start learn and perform advance Dragon attack i.e. using combo Golem, Balloon and Lava Hound like GoDraLoon or DraLoon.

v. Dragon Level 5 and Lightning Level 6/7 can do damage on TH10 like EmperorLS did. This could be alternative upgrade if you want to.

STRENGTH
Very solid and strong Dragon user.
Very dedicated player.
Level 4 CC at mid TH8 is give huge advantage to his attack especially because of extra dark spell.
Technically and strategically good player. Focus on important upgrades first such as CC which enable the use of 2L1E1R (2 Lightning + 1 Earthquake + 1 Rage). Calculated placement of Dragons and CC Balloon during attack.
Steady village with good offensive troops and defensive buildings.

WEAKNESS
Very bad analysis. Low theoretical and basic knowledge such as what level Lighting can destroy what level Air Defense. Also didn’t know what his capabilities and enemy’s strength and weaknesses such as what Dragon Level 2 attack can do and cant do. He also failed to recognize the important role of Air Sweeper during Dragon attack.
Cant plan war well. Miss couple of attacks or forcing to attack lower bases although he is strong attacker.
No consistency in attacks. Seemingly powerful player but attacking lower enemy.

RECOMMENDATION
Focus on mid TH8.
Read and learn theory and basic knowledge. Watch as many Dragon attack replays as you can. Learn about Lightning Spell, Earthquake Spell, Air Sweeper and Air Defense.
Attack early in war and use both attacks.
Upgrade Dragon attack as you are potential powerful Dragon user. Upgrade include Lightning and Rage spells.
Upgrade troops for farming such as Archer and Goblin to increase your village development.
Upgrade Barbarian King and Archer Queen to help in normal and war attack.

No need to focus on getting MC as you are long a way of getting MC8. No need to focus on MC7 either as your techniques is TH8. Continue attack mid TH8.
