WitchDoctor910: Day 1 (Start New Village)

Tutorial

As usual, you are force to follow tutorial guided by the Lady. At this stage, the game already begins as you are recommended to use gems to complete building construction or finishing troops training. So, you action should be NOT to follow her recommendation as gems are most valuable resource in the entire game. Gems are more crucial for starters than established players as builders are very limited and needed in early game. In most cases, you will have no trouble obtaining sufficient resource to upgrade but your progress is limit by the capacity of your builders. In short, progress for most starters will be the same as they can’t do much different if they have the same number of builders. So, save your gems and aim for the 3^rd builder as soon as possible.

Naming 

I name my village as WitchDoctor910 because of obvious reason; this is my name. 910 is just post-fix to differentiate them. “910” is related to my phone number. I like this number because it’s easy to remember; nine-ten. My email also use the same name witchdoctor910@gmail.com so do this blog.

The Goals 

Ok, back to business. On Day 1, there are two strategic objectives that I want to achieve which are rebuild Clan Castle level 1 and upgrade Barrack into level 4. The sooner we get into better clan, the sooner we can get access for higher tier troops and higher level troops. This is the faster track to get those troops. The best troops probably Hog Rider and Giant which enable us to farm almost every bases we encountered. In that case, I will utilise our clan Cikgu Suraya by joining it thus I can have a lot of handling of both the clan and the new account.

Primary Mission

1st. Rebuild Clan Castle

2nd. Get Barrack Level 4

Barrack4 will enable us to unlock Goblin, probably the best troop for starter. Goblin is the faster and deal bonus damage on resource based buildings like storages, collectors and TH. However, it most important attribute is it target resource based building first before others. This means we can control our attack as we can drop troops anywhere and those Goblin will be looking for specific buildings. In that case, we can use them not only for farming but distracting defense building like mortars. Splash buildings like mortars are probably the most deadliest defense buildings we should encounter at early stage. If we can avoid or manage them, our raiding is unstoppable.

To rebuild Clan Castle, we need 10,000 gold. This means we need to upgrade TH3 first to get another 1 gold storage level 3 or upgrade our first gold storage into level 4 which enable us to store 13,000 gold. TH2+GS2+GS3 also can give you 10,000 gold needed but it is not advisable as you will be having difficulty in searching bases to be raided as each searching require large amount of gold. Current TH2 only can store maximum 7,000 gold. So, the plan is to upgrade TH3 and 1st Gold Storage4 or to upgrade TH3 and 2nd Gold Storage 3. The second option is the faster. TH3 will cost 4,000 gold.

So, it took 6h 30m 20s to rebuild Clan Castle. However, this minimum value is base on 1 builder working at one time. I can shortening the time needed if 2 builders are utilise efficiently. This is of course the best possible outcome! Since, our upgrades need resources, so, time to rebuild Clan Castle also depend on how fast we can obtain required resource. So it probably took us 7h estimate time. 6h 30s is probably impossible since you need to be able to start farming for resource and start next upgrade as soon the previous one completed. Considering this, rebuild Clan Castle below 7h time is still very fast.

If you plan to unlock Goblin first before Clan Castle, it probably cost you about 7h as well. There is no clear winner between Goblin and Clan Castle as both goals will enable you to access Goblin! If you can obtained Hog or Giant via Clan Castle, your progress will be limited as you only have 2 builders as well as limited efficient buildings to upgrade. Efficient buildings here means upgrades or buildings needed for next goal. For example, if you require to upgrade storage before upgrade barrack, you dont need much farming, thus having good troops inside Clan Castle does not give big advantage as not having one can also farm resource needed. When your village getting bigger and each upgrading require bigger resource, then having good troops inside Clans Castle is desirable enough to upset other things.

For me, I will try to achieve both goal in one shot. Meaning I will not trying to get either one in 7h as I will need to upgrade Elixir Storage and Gold Storage in the same time. TH3 also very important because I can unlock additional Army Camp and preparing my storages for next goal. If I must chose between both goals, I will put effort on Clan Castle first because farming can be very frustrating especially with the waiting for troops training and bases searching. With Hog5 inside, I can assure of awesome raid. 

Be that as it may, having Clan Castle or Goblin is the best and must goal should you want to proceed into next steps faster and conveniently. This is because having a good troops will get your job done faster and easier. Without this goal, you need to depend on probably barbarian, archer or giant which very slow for farming and require tireless effort to search suitable base. Besides, other goals require you to have decent troops for farming. Farming is the essential during this early stage. No other troops is better than Goblin when farming! With Hog or Giant inside Clan Castle, you can back up these tiny creatures. 2 Hogs level 5 inside Clan Castle prove to be far superior for low level village. Plus, you need Clan Castle to join war. Goblin also surprisingly a very powerful army. If you can handle Clan Castle and Mortar, these goblins can win you any matching war.

My Progress

I started the tutorial on 6 March 2016 at 11:14am and begin my village at 11:23am. As planned, I manage to rebuild Clan Castle in 7 hours time. So, at 18:04pm, Clan Castle rebuilt and I join Cikgu Suraya. At the same time, I begin upgrade my Barrack into level 4 and it completed at 22:04pm. After 10 hours and 50 minutes, Mission Accomplished! I get both my Clan Castle and Goblin that I want so badly.
